It really does.

When I taught a unit to my 8th grade English students on propaganda, we'd watch this at the end to spot all the different strategies enlisted to keep Truman in line. (This was the only movie we watched, beside 'Ice Age' for the afternoons during spring week of mandatory state testing... I'm not one for outsourcing classroom instruction... And apparently defensive about it? Ha. Anyway.) Any movie you can rewatch a dozen times and still find utterly compelling is a real gem.
